Canary and WW, inspired by J. Bone...

...wow , that sounded weird! Well, J. Bone is an artist and he recently did a story in the back of Darwyn Cooke's New Frontier Special. All around goodness in this issue and a nice companion to one the best DC stories I've read in years. J. Bone was Cooke's inker in the original series and they had him pencil the WW story. After seeing said pencils I hope they get this guy to do more. Great fun cartooning and style. Anyway, I just had to draw something after reading his story, ended up with a quasi Bruce Timm/Cooke thing with nowhere the fun that they usually put in their stuff.....oh well....just keep drawing, I guess....

Awesome work. Love this style. Can't go wrong with influences such as Darwyn Cooke and Bruce Timm.

Hey man,
Wish I'd seen this back when you posted it. I'm glad you dug the story...I certainly wish we could do more with Darwyn's New Frontier world, too!

By the way, you draw a much cuter Black Canary than I did!

best,
j.
